Allison Brooks Janney is an American actor born on the 19th of November, 1959. In the last three decades her work has earned her applauds on screen and stage. Janney was honored with numerous awards, including her own Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. 7 Primetime Emmy Awards were also given to Janney. The actress also received two Tony Awards were nominated. Janney was born in Boston and grew up within Dayton (Ohio). Following her graduation in Kenyon College, she received a full scholarship at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Janney was first seen on television in 1999 with the character C. J. Cregg, a role she played on the NBC's political drama The West Wing (1999 to the year 2006) which won her Four Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney was awarded The Primetime Emmy Award for 2014 Outstanding Guest actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Margaret Scully on the Showtime show Masters of Sex. Janney received nominations six times for Primetime Emmy Awards and twice was awarded the Outstanding Supporting Actress Comedy Series.
